Meet the Actors

Shane Nelson is an actor and screenwriter from Ontario, Canada. He is the son of a journalist from Niagara Falls, New York and an auto-worker from Amherstburg, Ontario. Shane began studying theatre as a teenager, and went on to attain his Bachelor of Fine Arts at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He has also trained internationally at the Moscow Art Theatre in Russia. Shane featured in “Hark Motors (2018)” on Comedy Central, and NBC’s “Something for the Pain (2023)” , and performs consistently in film and stage productions in Toronto and Metro Detroit. Commercial work includes a feature for Hungry Howie’s. As a writer Shane has worked on internal documentary content for the National Minority Supplier Development Council. In 2020, Shane launched production company Three Good Friends with Beatrix Wilson, premiering the 10 minute short film “Surface (2021)

Alex Petrovich is a charismatic, creative performer, who is passionate about storytelling, and bringing joy into people’s lives. The outlet of becoming “the character”, and incorporating real emotions into a performance in order to jump off the page, out off the screen, and into people’s minds has always been the intent. Living life with purpose, and enjoying every minute of it. Driven with everything he does, Alex has written a book about the Music Industry, and has released 10 albums with his three touring original rock bands.

Mona is thrilled to have been a part of the stunning team on Elegy. She is an actor, singer, and dancer based in Toronto. She received her education in musical theatre at Randolph College for the Performing Arts, and has, in more recent years, been expanding into film and television.  Mona Hillis is known for Sleeping Beauty: Every Rose has a Thorne (2020)The Collection Agent and Persistence (2022).

Marlo Aquilina is of Maltese descent and was born in Mississauga, Ontario, and fell in love with the craft of Acting from a very young age. Active in high school drama classes and plays, she knew this is what she wanted to do. Marlo moved to Toronto in her early twenties where she trained with Earl Nanhu at EVN Film Studios. However, shortly after she went to Europe and upon her return had to put acting on hiatus until the time was right.

Marlo has just wrapped shooting her latest Feature film titled Stalkers appearing in a supporting role as Sergeant Leadbetter as well as starring alongside Mark Suknanan (aka Priyanka) in It’s all Sunshine & Rainbows where she plays the notable Principal role of Alice which is slated to be released in 2023.

Olecia Roxanna Obarianyk was born Feb 25 in Regina, Saskatchewan. Her parents, Darius and Roxanna were the children of immigrant families from Ukraine. Some coming to Canada through the residuals of war, others living in a literal cave in central SK building their new lives.
Growing up, Olecia was rooted deeply in to her cultural heritage through language, dance, and of course cooking, and was a strong student in school while studying ballet 6 days per week, which eventually led her to the National Ballet School. At the age of 11, she was cast as the lead in a production of Beauty and the Beast and that was when she realized her love for theatrical performance.
